The words used in Section 14(2) of the Hindu Succession Act, 1956. Fazal Ali J. said they are wider than "limited interest" in Section 14(1). They cover a life estate and any other kind of limit placed on the person who receives the property.
The judgment gives an example. A donor gives property to a Hindu female on the condition that she pays Rs. 200 to the donor or his relative until a certain time. That is not a limited interest, but it is a restricted estate.
As used in V. Tulasamma v. Sesha Reddy (Fazal Ali J.'s opinion, conclusion 7).
