Rule Nisi — రూల్ నిసై

As used in Bird v. Jones, a rule nisi was an order obtained for a new trial, on which counsel later showed cause.

Bird v. Jonesలో rule nisi అంటే కొత్త విచారణ (new trial) కోసం పొందిన ఉత్తర్వు; దానిపై న్యాయవాదులు తర్వాత కారణం చూపారు.

Real-life example

In Hilary term, 1844, Thesiger obtained a rule nisi for a new trial, on the ground of misdirection. Counsel for the plaintiff then showed cause in Trinity term.

1844 Hilary term లో Thesiger, misdirection కారణంగా కొత్త విచారణ కోసం rule nisi పొందాడు. ఆ తర్వాత Trinity term లో వాదిపక్ష న్యాయవాదులు కారణం చూపారు.
