Misdirection — తప్పుడు నిర్దేశం

As used in Bird v. Jones, misdirection was the ground for the rule for a new trial. It concerned the direction the Lord Chief Justice gave the jury.

Bird v. Jonesలో misdirection అంటే కొత్త విచారణ కోరడానికి కారణం; అది Lord Chief Justice జ్యూరీకి ఇచ్చిన నిర్దేశానికి సంబంధించింది.

Real-life example

The Lord Chief Justice told the jury that an imprisonment had taken place before the plaintiff assaulted the defendant. That direction was complained of.
