Indictable Offence — నేరారోపణకు అర్హమైన నేరం

An indictable offence is a crime for which a person can be prosecuted and punished. In this case the question was whether a void agreement in restraint of trade was indictable.

Indictable offence అంటే ఒక వ్యక్తిని విచారించి శిక్షించగల నేరం. చెల్లని వ్యాపార నియంత్రణ ఒప్పందం indictable అవుతుందా అనేదే ఈ కేసులో ఒక ప్రశ్న.

The appellants said the shipowners' agreement was indictable. The Lords held that an agreement in restraint of trade may be unenforceable but is not indictable.
