Fraud — ఫ్రాడ్

Fraud is a dishonest act done specifically to deceive another party into a contract — lying about a fact, actively hiding one, promising something with no intention of keeping it, or any other deliberate deception. The key word is dishonest: an honest but mistaken statement, however careless, isn't fraud, just misrepresentation.
