Voidable Marriage — వాయిడబుల్ మ్యారేజ్ (రద్దు చేయదగిన వివాహం)
As used in this case, a voidable marriage is one covered by Section 12 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. It is not void from the start. It stays effective unless all the conditions are met and the aggrieved party avoids it.

The appellant argued that her marriage to a man with a living wife was at most voidable under Section 12. The Court rejected this. Section 12 does not apply to a marriage in breach of Section 5(1)(i).
