Compromis — కాంప్రోమీ

The agreement in which the parties to an arbitration set its terms. As used in the Trail Smelter award, Article 83 of the 1907 Hague Convention lets the parties reserve in the compromis the right to demand revision of the award.

Real-life example

The Tribunal noted that Article 83 of the 1907 Hague Convention lets parties reserve the right to demand revision in the compromis. It also said the Orinoco tribunal's compromis clearly separated two questions.
