Bigamy — బహుభార్యత్వం

"Bigamy" is the act of marrying again while a previous valid marriage is still subsisting. Under Hindu law, it renders the second marriage void under Sections 5(i) and 11, and separately attracts criminal liability for the party who married again.

"బహుభార్యత్వం" అంటే మునుపటి చెల్లుబాటు అయ్యే వివాహం ఇంకా కొనసాగుతుండగానే మళ్లీ వివాహం చేసుకోవడం. హిందూ చట్టం కింద, ఇది సెక్షన్లు 5(i), 11 కింద రెండవ వివాహాన్ని శూన్యం చేస్తుంది, మరియు మళ్లీ వివాహం చేసుకున్న పక్షానికి ప్రత్యేకంగా నేర బాధ్యతను కలిగిస్తుంది.
